This cooking ingredient is also an effective solution in removing dead skin. Vinegar can make your skin softer and smoother.
Pour a mixture of vinegar and water in a basin. Soak your feet for about 15 minutes. Use a foot scrub to get rid of the dry and dead skin cells on your feet.
Wash your feet to eliminate the smell of vinegar and let it dry. Use petroleum jelly on your skin to keep it moisturized.
2. Paraffin wax.
A paraffin wax is known to be effective when it comes to removing dead skin cells. It makes your feet softer by retaining the natural oil of your skin. Applying a paraffin wax on your feet can prevent dry, cracked, and scaly skin.
Put the paraffin wax in your microwave oven and warm it up. Add a bit of coconut oil in the wax then spread on the mixture directly on your feet. Be careful when smearing it on your skin because it can be hot at first.
Let the wax sit on your skin overnight. Wash it off the next day.
3. Epsom Salt.
This kitchen ingredient is another effective solution of getting rid of dry skin on your feet. It removes contaminants from your skin and improves the circulation on your feet to make it more relaxed.
Pour water in a basin and add the Epsom salt. Dip your feet and soak it in the solution for at least 10 minutes. Pat your feet dry and slather on some petroleum jelly to keep your feet moisturized. Do this repeatedly for at least three straight days.
A lemon is known for its acidity. This makes it fit for eliminating dead and dry skin on your feet. At the same time, it keeps your skin softer and smoother.
Pour warm water in a basin. Add lemon juice on it. Let your feet soak in the solution for at least 15 minutes. Once your feet softens, use a foot brush to remove the dead skin. Wash your feet and dry it off completely.
Not only is it good for breakfast but oatmeal is also a good choice for treating dry, scaly, and dead skin. This ingredient helps moisturize the skin leaving it supple and smooth. You can even use it as a foot scrub.
Mix water and oatmeal in a container. You can opt to add milk in the mixture to soften your skin. Apply the oatmeal mixture d on directly your feet.
Spread it evenly so that your entire feet is covered with oatmeal. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes then use a foot brush to scrub your skin. Wash the oatmeal and pat your feet dry. You can repeat this process every other day to make it more effective.
