If you will be traveling for some few days, it is important that you include a snack box in your wagon; this will save you from the hustle of snacks every time your kids start yawning. Think of snacks like popcorn, crackers, sliced fruits and the home-made granola.

When filling the snack box, ask your kids what they would like to munch, but don’t forget to pack what your other half loves to eat.

7. Milk

Milk is the healthiest drink that your family can enjoy, and especially the younger kids. This is because it provides every basic nutrient that the body needs. For that reason, pour some milk or chocolate milk (it doesn’t have to be plain) in a presentable water bottle and store.

Yogurt is the best alternative for milk. Some of your kids may not like consuming milk outdoors, and that is where yogurt comes into rescue. Equipped with a particular flavor, it will definitely do well in place of a healthy and substantial road trip snack.

Yogurt and milk also offer those crazy toppings that your kids like. You can crumble the home-made granola or cereal in milk or top the granola bars with yogurt for a more delicious snack.

11. Sandwiches/Burgers

Sandwiches offer a healthy and portable snack, not only for school but also for family road trips. The almond butter and banana sandwich with traces of honey will do well for that road trip that you are planning, but I am limiting you to other sandwich recipes.

Oops, I almost forgot, sandwiches and burgers are very sustainable. So, if you are not sure about lunch, pack some sandwiches or burgers for your family.
