Beach season may be short, but taking care of your feet is a year-long routine. Increasingly, women (and even men) are turning to foot-care products that they can use at home. Going to salons for pedicures is expensive and time-consuming. Thankfully, more and more companies are introducing products that are easy to use, cost-effective, and achieve comparable results as professional salons.
I came across a fantastic foot-care product out of a fit of frustration. My husband and I had been invited to a friend’s cottage for a weekend getaway. I had neglected my feet all summer long, and had thick calluses on both heels. I was desperate for a quick pedicure before the weekend, but the salons I called were all fully booked.
Dejected, I resigned myself to a long weekend of keeping sandals glued to my feet. My husband suggested a DIY solution involving various grits of sandpaper. I mentally made a note to make an appointment with a divorce lawyer.
I was at a store when I a selection of home pedicure treatments. I was skeptical at how effective they would be, but then I looked down and remembered the callused hooves I was walking on. I bought one home to try and boy was it one of the best beauty products I have ever used, so much so that I want to share it with you all. This is my Amopé pedi perfect electronic pedicure foot file review, and hopefully for all my crusty-footed sisters out there, it can help you as well.
Design and Features
The Amopé pedi perfect electronic pedicure foot file is a small, hand-held device with a roller head attachment that buffs calluses and other thick skin on your feet. It claims to remove thick skin and calluses in minutes, and combined with their moisturizer, to give you soft feet after only one use. So what exactly does this tool do, and how does it work?
Ergonomically designed and easy to use
According to several Amopé pedi perfect electronic pedicure foot file reviews, the handle is big enough to grip securely, but not too big as to be uncomfortable or difficult to hold for long treatments. It is battery operated using 4 AA batteries, which means you just have to replace the battery if the power dies instead of waiting for it to recharge. The roller head attachment pops in easily, allowing you to switch between several different heads during a treatment.
Suitable for all types of feet and skin
One of the great design features according to many of the Amopé pedi perfect electronic pedicure foot file reviews you will find is its safety feature which stops rolling if too much pressure is applied, to avoid injury. Using it cannot be simpler – you pass the roller heads over dry skin slowly, until all the hardened skin is buffed. Just make sure you do it over a towel – you don’t want your floor to look like a spilled salt shaker.
Customizable for different treatments
The Amopé pedi perfect also comes available with 3 roller head attachments, each with a different level of coarseness. This allows you to fully customize the degree of buffing you require, depending on the condition of your skin and your comfort level. Remember that although the skin on your feet is 10 times thicker than anywhere else on your body, it is also easy to over-buff, which can cause irritation and potentially even break the skin.
I rate this product an 8/10, for its convenience and results it gives you
- Comfortable to hold and battery operation makes it easy to always have enough power
- Fully customizable with different roller head attachments
- Easier to use than a pumice stone and with minimal parts, easy to clean
- Low batteries may sometimes cause rollers to stop even with light pressure
- Takes longer than claimed to fully remove thick skin and calluses
My rating of 8/10 is because the tool is super easy to use, effective once you learn how much pressure to apply, and really works! My only wish is for it to have a bit more power, as it often stops spinning if you apply a bit of pressure at the wrong angle. It took 30 minutes of buffing but I could already see how much skin it took off, and how smooth my toes and heels were. After moisturizing before bed, I was shocked at how smooth they felt in the morning.
I really hope this review helps your feet too. This is definitely a fixture in my skincare routine now – cottage country, here I come!
